Found this place by accident, as the cycling route had been detoured via Fort Mason. Part of the International Hostel, it is open to the public, excellent range of home cooked snacks and cakes, great coffee and leaf teas, but the prices were incredible. Not to be outdone, it sits on the hill overlooking Alcatraz and the Golden Gate. Great food, friendly staff, good prices and stunning views.

We ended up here by default, we needed to eat and it was the only sit down restaurant without a long wait. We wouldn&#39;t normally have picked such a &quot;hard core&quot; veggie restaurant as our 17 year old son finds it a bit much. However, the food was brilliant, good value as well and said son was found an option (pizza!) from the kids menu.

The food itself was fairly basic and nothing extraordinary, but the location was convenient and the coffee was quite good.

here for meeting with a friend, I have been running through this area so many times, but I&#39;ve never found out there is a cafe until today. simple meal but has nice music!
